HAYWOOD COUNTY DETENTION CENTER, BROWNSVILLE, TENNESSEE

Haywood County Justice Center is a 196 inmate facility. Our work session process resulted in a plan, site, estimated budget, projected design schedule, and exterior artist rendering in only three days.

The facility was the site of an existing abandoned Walmart building. Demolition was required within the existing building limits which allowed us to "retrofit" an old Walmart into a new jail/courts facility. The project also consisted of a new addition on the south side of the existing building. The site was updated with new asphalt paving and concrete walks. The building consists of four distinct areas, courts with support areas, sheriff's department with offices, jail with support areas, and space for future expansion.
