COVINGTON MIDDLE SCHOOL, COVINGTON, TENNESSEE

The firm was commissioned to design a new middle school, grades six through eight, for 400 students in Covington, TN. The design included master planning and charette planning, which compared alternative sites and curriculum programs. Middle schools versus junior high schools were evaluated. The project includes 18 teaching stations, full dining, and administrative areas. 

The 43,000 square foot facility has an air-conditioned gymnasium with seating for 800, two volleyball courts, one high school basketball court, and two youth basketball courts. Also included in the project was a Parks/Recreation component that includes a racquetball court, wellness and weight room, and a gym/aerobics room.
