GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER HIGH SCHOOL, MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE

We were commissioned to provide design services for both new and renovated construction at Carver High School. The new construction encompasses 70,000 square feet and includes 40 classrooms and a library with full computer capabilities. Both school officials and the designers placed emphasis on the 21st-century classroom. Other new construction houses administration areas, guidance offices, 2 computer labs, and 2 science labs. The renovated areas total 40,000 square feet. The renovated gymnasium seats 1000 and the auditorium has seating for 1,200 to 1,500.
